Leah Hendrickson is entering her ninth full season with the Chicago Blackhawks and second as Senior Social Media Manager.

In her current role, Hendrickson is responsible for effectively communicating and representing the Original Six franchise’s mission and goals (both on and off the ice!) across all social platforms.

Hendrickson coordinates content and oversees publishing across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, currently reaching over 6 million fans–the most among NHL teams–including the 2019 Shorty Award finalist in Best Use of Instagram Story for the “NHL Draft Magic 8 Ball” activation.

Hendrickson, 31, joined the Blackhawks after graduating from DePaul University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies. She previously served as New Media Intern, New Media Assistant and Social Media Coordinator from March 2012-June 2017 before being promoted to her current position. Prior to joining the Blackhawks, Hendrickson interned with the Chicago Fire Soccer Team, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and was Program Director at Radio DePaul, DePaul’s award-winning school radio station.
